Heading to a clinic can be difficult for many people, from those who are particularly busy with work or child care or those who suffer from mobility problems. Likewise, millions of Californians live in less densely populated towns and areas that lack access to mental health resources. Worst of all, mental health care can often be too expensive for poorer Californians to access.
BeWellLine is the answer to all of these problems, as it mobilizes experienced counselors, case managers, and local community members to provide phone and computer-based mental health counseling. As such, you can reach out for support and understanding from the comfort of your own home. In light of the stress of the COVID pandemic, we’ve also worked to make a baseline level of mental health services available to all Californians.
BeWellLine is currently operating in a partnership with the state of California the FEMA Crisis Counselling Assistance and Training Program. If you live in California, you’re already entitled to the benefits of this program. You can arrange to join six counseling sessions at no charge, which you’re free to arrange via webchat, telephone, or video call. While we normally arrange these sessions for groups, you can also arrange a session specifically for your own family.
